Superintendent's Youth Leadership Council (SYLC)
SYLC is comprised of student leaders across our districts who have been recommended by their schools and communities
for their exceptional leadership skills and desire to impact their school, local, and extended communities.
Through participation in the SYLC, students are given a platform to collaborate on projects that center around health and wellness,
equity and excellence, partnerships and resources, and culture and climate in partnership with organizations such as
Microsoft, Apple, the National Football League (NFL), American Dairy Association North East,
and various offices within the NYCDOE to name a few.
Additionally, SYLC participants play a leading role in our major district events,
fostering their public speaking, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
